Richard Mullineaux FCA

Richard joined Whitehead & Aldrich as a Partner in 1983 before which he had several years’ experience working for Deloitte.

He is now managing partner and he has extensive audit, accountancy and tax experience working with all sizes of owner-managed businesses. He has a particular knowledge in certain specialist sectors such as haulage, agriculture, medical, charities, caravan sites, construction and online selling.

Richard was born in Preston and he is married with two adult children. He is keen on most sports, plays golf and he has been a supporter of Preston North End for many years.

David Greenwood FCA

David joined Whitehead & Aldrich in 1982 after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1980.

He specialises in advising owner-managed businesses from start-up or acquisition through to disposal or retirement and has a broad range of clients in many diverse sectors including farming and agriculture, insurance broking, and the motor trade.

David is married with one adult daughter. He is a keen racquets player and played in the local squash leagues for 30 years. He now concentrates on tennis and plays regularly in the Ribble league for Broughton.

Andrew Makin ACA CTA

Andrew joined Whitehead & Aldrich in 1988. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1991 and qualified as a member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation in 1994.

His expertise is brought to bear when advising on special taxation projects and he is responsible for the firm’s personal and corporate tax compliance. He has broad experience in taxation matters providing advice on income tax, capital gains tax, corporation tax, inheritance tax and trust planning.  In addition he advises on property taxation, sale-of-business and retirement related issues.

Andrew is married with two children and spends much of his spare time swimming, walking and spending time with his family.

Jonathan Hughes-Deane ACA

Jonathan joined Whitehead & Aldrich in 1996, became a Partner in 2005 and has a particular interest in the development and growth of existing owner-managed businesses. He also enjoys helping new start-up businesses raise finance and prepare business plans including profit & loss and cash flow projections.

He is experienced in Audit & Assurance, Management Accounts, IT, Cloud Accounting, Forecasting and Social Media. He is keen to help clients work on their business rather than in their business.

Jonathan is married with two young children. In his spare time he likes to play football and golf but his main hobby is spending quality time with his family and friends.
